Charging Mode - Selfconsumption

Charging Mode - Selfconsumption

Compatible products:

  • Dazebox Home → Firmware 16.0.0.6.0.0 and later

  • Dazebox Share → Firmware 2.1.4.1.1.5 and later

  • Duo → Firmware 2.3.0.1.1.9 and later

  • Urban → Firmware 2.3.0.1.1.9 and later

NB: Make sure you have installed the latest version of Daze app available

Activation:Daze App in bluetooth or remotely (internally connected charger)

Self-consumption mode is the charging mode available on Daze chargers that allows you to charge your vehicle using only the photovoltaic surplus produced by your photovoltaic system.

NB: This charging mode can only be activated in the presence of the accessory, correctly installed,Power Meter.

What is photovoltaic surplus?

Photovoltaic surplus is the difference between how much the photovoltaic system is producing and how much the system (without considering the consumption of the Daze charger) is consuming.

Photovoltaic surplus = Photovoltaic Production - Electrical consumption of the plant

How do I activate self-consumption mode?

The self-consumption mode is activated from the charger dashboard by clicking on the appropriate button under the wording "Recharge Mode"

NbThis charging mode can be activated/deactivable once per charging session. Charging session means the time interval between the connection of the vehicle to the Daze charger and the disconnection of the same.

What is the photovoltaic surplus value needed to start a charging?

The photovoltaic surplus value required to start a self-consumption charging is about 1.7/1.8 kW per charging phase.

If the photovoltaic surplus is not enough to allow the vehicle to be charging, the charger will be automatically waiting, returning to the app the wording "Awaiting".

Always automatically, when sufficient power will return available to self-consumption charging, the product will return to recharge the vehicle.

If I own an accumulation system change the operation of self-consumption mode?

In the presence of storage system, everything said previously remains valid with the only difference that in case of accumulation system not fully loaded, the photovoltaic energy produced will be first intended for charging the storage batteries and, once full, will be started charging in self-consumption.

NbThis principle of operation is governed by the inverter and not by the Daze charger.
